When packing for a safari holiday, less is more. The maximum luggage allowance on scheduled charter aircraft flights is 20kg (44lb) per person in soft-sided luggage, plus one piece of hand luggage or a camera bag. Where space allows, additional seats may be booked for excess luggage. Each additional seat booked enables you to travel with an extra 70kg (154lb) of luggage.

Easily customisable to extend or shorten stays in each destination, or even substitute with an alternative property in a different part of Greater Kruger National Park and its many private reserves. There are multiple access points for the safari, and the order of the itinerary can be reversed.

The Greater Kruger National Park offers a host of great activities. The most common activities offered by lodges in private reserves are twice-daily game drives, early morning and late afternoon, in an open 4x4 with a professional ranger and, in many cases, a tracker to find the animals. Each game drive lasts between 2.5 and 3 hours. Most lodges are also able to offer interpretive bush walks with an armed ranger, and in some cases, a longer "walking safari." Sleep-out platforms and fly camping are also common.

The Greater Kruger National Park is considered to be a malaria area. We advise the use of anti-malarial prophylactics when travelling to this area at any time of the year. Please consult your travel doctor for advice at least three weeks before your departure to Africa.
